    Empowering Community Health Centers during National Health Center Week!

    Community Health Centers play a crucial role in providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to more than 8.8 million children in the United States. Health center staff, including pediatricians, early childhood specialists, community health workers, prenatal care workers, among other team members are essential to promoting the early and lifelong health of children and families. With over 15 health promotion and preventive well-child visits recommended in the first six years of a child's life, health centers are a critical family access point to help set children on a path to thriving long before they enter school.

    Join the CAHMI in Celebrating and Empowering Our Children’s Doctors on National Doctors’ Day! Pediatricians and Family Medicine primary care doctors are essential to promoting the early and lifelong health of children and families. With over 15 health promotion and preventive well child visits recommended in the first five years of a child’s life, primary care doctors are the most accessible portal for reaching children in the first days, weeks, months, and years of life. These trusted connections with families and children can set children off on a path to thriving long before they enter school.

    CAHMI paper published in Maternal and Child Health Journal

    CAHMI’s founding director, Dr. Christina Bethell, and esteemed colleagues published a paper in the Maternal and Child Health Journal recounting the inception and evolution of the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI). The article offers a summary of progress and lessons learned throughout the 25+ years CAHMI has contributed to shape and accelerate the maternal and child health field, particularly to scale family-centered data, measurements, and relational systems of care.
