Easy access to national data findings form the Survey of Pathways of Diagnosis and Services (Pathways)

Explore the nationally representative Pathways data about the health, well-being, and experiences of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. The Pathways data was collected in 2011 as a follow up to the 2009-2010 National Survey of Children With Special Health Care Needs.

The National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) – Child Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Supplement (2012)

The 2012 CAM supplement collected information about non-conventional health services, products, and practices commonly used in the United States among a randomly selected sample of children 4-17 years. Information collected included CAM modalities, insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs for visits to CAM providers, classes or trainings, reasons for and benefits of CAM use, conventional medical care use for children who used CAM, disclosure of CAM use to health care providers, and sources of information about CAM.

Explore key data on how children in each state experience receiving care within a medical home. The medical home measure uses standardized national survey data to assess whether children and youth have a personal doctor or nurse, have a usual source of care, receive needed referrals, receive help coordinating care across multiple providers, and receive care that is family-centered and culturally sensitive.

This project was funded by the CAHMI and the National Center for Medical Home Implementation (a cooperative agreement between the Maternal and Child Health Bureau and the American Academy of Pediatrics).

Research tells us early elective deliveries carry significant increased maternal and fetal risks. To better understand the extent of early elective deliveries within the Medicaid population and to create a baseline for assessing the impact of policy change, Medicaid delivery data from 22 states have been aggregated in this one-of-a-kind data portal.

This project was supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Health Resources and Services Administration, including the Maternal and Child Health Bureau. Medicaid Medical Directors also worked collaboratively with the National Association of Medicaid Directors, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, and the National Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs, the Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Infant Mortality, and the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative.

Access pediatric quality and system performance data and resources that aim to align national efforts to improve the current health care system so that quality care is a national priority and accessible to all children, adolescents, and families.
